Our History

Since our inception in 1986 as Macintosh consultants to the revolutionary DTP Industry- starting with the SE/30, Pagemaker and then Illustrator and Photoshop (later Quark too) - we started out installing these crazy little boxes from California. They were cute; separate keyboard, compact case and a little mouse thing. Best of all it had graphics. They were from a company called Apple, and called Macs. We were one of the first companies in the UK to buy some - we loved them. Over the years our knowledge and understanding grew and grew.

From there we grew into a design agency and split into a Apple Internet Provider and Authorised Apple Reseller, whilst our design arm grew into an established agency of its own under a different name and completly separate company.

Internet Age...
In 1996 we launched MacAce.net - fresh air for Mac users admidst a struggle to get reliable support from your ISP. MacAce.net launched as "The First Mac-only ISP" - coveted by the Macintosh press and an army of new users.

Our mission has always been to provide world-class Internet services for the Macintosh community. And so we have. We've expanded, upgraded and spent countless nights optimizing and tweaking things to ensure we provide fast, reliable services. Today we have a direct fibre-connection to the heart of the internet, in Telehouse London - home of the London Internet Exchange (LINX) and the most coveted Internet Exchange in the UK.

We continually monitor and upgrade our systems to maintain (and improve) peering speeds and reliability. Our user numbers grow with us.

The future
Our goal for the future is to maintain our core values of providing a first-class support and customer experience, whilst innovating with exciting technologies. We're conscious of the many companies that have grown too rapidly and allowed the lure of big sellouts and IPO's to dilute the very thing they stand for. We're determined not allow that. Whilst we are growing rapidly, we'll never have hundreds of thousands of users, and so won't fall into the traps of so many others.

Above all, we're passionate about Mac's and passionate about providing a great service for their users.
